Pauline Marie Fitzpatrick, 70, passed away on July 22, 2021 at Torrance Memorial Hospital, after a several-month stretch of declining health and hospitalizations. Her death occurred three months after the death of her sister, KC.
A lifetime resident of Torrance, she is survived by her sisters Judy and Lucy. She was also preceded in death by her mother Barbara, father John, and brother Brian.
Pauline had a significant medical history, including polio and muscular dystrophy, the results of which led to her residing in a long-term care nursing facility most of her adult life; and overcoming Covid in March of 2020.
Pauline never let her physical limitations keep her from living life to the fullest. We will miss her so very much.
Services may be planned at a future date.
I will truly miss Pauline…her smile and her hugs were the best!!
She was truly an inspiration, showing us all how to persevere and how to enjoy life and just “make things work”.
Love and hugs to Judy and Lucy.
Pauline had a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit.
I will miss delivering her books from the Torrance library, the Danielle Steel and other authors she so enjoyed. What a wonderful smile she had.
Hello Fitzpatrick Family,
My sister Daisy went to school with Pauline at St. James Elementary School. She always spoke fondly of Pauline. I was very close with Casey Fitzpatrick when I lived in California. I just heard of this terrible loss of Pauline. Is Casey ok? I am in South Carolina and lost contact with Casey when I moved. Thank you and please know I am sending prayers and hugs.
