  1. Pauly, You had a great impact on my life and I am very grateful to have been you friend. Thank you for showing me how to enjoy life no matter what. I’ll miss you. Love, Damio

  2. First and foremost, I would like to send my condolences to Paul’s family and a special heart felt sympathies to his brother Peter. As many of you have already shared, Paul touched many lives. I have many fond memories of Paul as I was growing up in Gardena on Atkinson Ave. in the 80’s. Many of us were several years younger than Paul. Yet, Paul shared his music with us (Garage bands), his advice (he would often tell us “stay in school so that you don’t end becoming a plumber”, and most importantly his time (basketball until ten at night, fire cracker wars, showing off his shiny El Camino, and most of all just being himself. Someone else said it, Paul’s permanent smile. You will sorely be missed. From all of us your friends the kids on Atkinson Ave: We love you: we will miss you and Rock on in heaven with all of the angels.

Always asking how my daughters and Taylor were doing.Always concerned about my wifes medical stuff. He was always there to talk to. He talked so highly of his Mother and Father. 28. I cannot believe Paul is gone. I have very fond memories of him, when we were all kids. Mostly of my big brother Chuy and Paul playing loud instruments in Paul’s garage, thinking they were rock stars. That was way back when we lived on 16103 Atkinson. My prayers go out to your family. God Bless you

  29. It’s been a day since I’ve heard the news and I’m still stunned. Paul was one of my oldest and dearest friends. We had some good times together. Growing up and experiencing life, we drifted apart in the late eighties and pursued our individual careers and lives, but we always remained in contact, even though we never saw each other on a regular basis the way we did growing up. On those sporadic occasions where we did meet up or talk on the phone, he always asked how my family was. I’ll always remember his laughter and smile, his wacky and sarcastic sense of humor. I’ll also always remember the many hours we played music together in various hastily-assembled garage bands, many of which also included his brother Peter. Those were fun times. I’m sad he’s no longer with us, but my life is much richer for having known him. My thoughts are with Marlowe and his parents, his brother Peter, and the rest of his family. Jesus ‘Chuy’ Gonzalez

I can’t remember a time as he drove past me when I was walking the dogs that he didn’t honk and wave. His smile and friendliness will always be remembered. Our hearts go out to all of you. Bret and Karen Stagg

Paul was always respectful, fun and engaging. We will always remember Paul as a great listener, selflessly more interested in what others were doing and as always supportive. My most fondest memory with Paul was a Las Vegas trip with him, Peter and John. Paul and I shared a hotel room together, in which I awoke from one of those deep Vegas slumbers, to Paul standing over my bed at 6 am and him saying “Wake up bro, it’s been real but, I’m leavin’!” We wish we were with you on this day to say “goodbye to Paul” but will be thinking and praying from Finland and will always remember Paul as the great person he is.
