Paul Jun Ishikawa, long-time resident and local character of Hermosa Beach, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 14, 2005. Born on March 8th, 1935, in Riverside, California, he grew up in South Pasadena and got his degree from Art Center College of Design. He made Hermosa his home since 1974, working as an inventor/ toy designer. Paul will be missed by many; friends and family, the coffee shops, the greenbelt and at city council meetings, which will never be the same. He is survived by his daughter, Ivy Bleser and his two grandchildren, Griffin and Lola of Santa Monica; his sisters, Emi Ishikawa of South Pasadena and Michi Tashjian of Philadelphia; and his brother Alan Ishikawa of Redondo Beach. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 4th at Saint Cross church in Hermosa Beach.
