Patricia Arakawa, 70, of Torrance, California and formerly of Maui, Hawaii died September 7, 2007 in Torrance. The memorial service will be held at Rice Mortuary Chapel located at 5310 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance on Saturday, October 13th at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be private. Mrs. Arakawa was born on January 1, 1937 in Kula, Hawaii. She was a librarian at Calle Mayor Middle School in South Torrance until her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Arakawa; a son, Patrick and his wife, Cheri Arakawa of Moreno Valley, California; a daughter, Naomi Arakawa of Torrance; three brothers, Tadashi and George Gohara of Pukalani, Hawaii and Roy Gohara of Grand Terrace, California; and two grandchildren, Kiana and Kyle Arakawa.
