Born in: San Mateo, Philippines
Resided in: Torrance, California

In the early hours of March 2, 2023, Paolo Aglibut Caoile passed away at a young age of 45 years old, surrounded by his loving family up until his last breath.

He is survived by his wife, Christie Furutani and his eight kids – Calvin Caoile, Nathan Caoile, Maya Caoile, Devin Caoile, Carli Caoile, Bronson Caoile, Shiloh Caoile and Qrue Caoile, as well as, his mother Pauline Caoile, his father Eusebio Caoile Jr. and younger sister Kristine Aglibut Caoile.

Born on October 3, 1977 in San Mateo, Philippines, oldest out of two, Paolo has blessed his parents by filling their life with undeniable wit, athleticism and uncontrollable laughter. His parents cheered him on from the sidelines of his games and he looked forward to his mom’s home cooking during the holiday season. With his dad’s love of photography, many memories were made and kept through photo albums.

To some friends and family, he was a true role model. Despite any struggles life threw at him, he made every struggle a lesson and through that he became a light in other people’s lives by simply sharing his own story, making people laugh and sharing his wisdom.

Paolo will be remembered as hard working, kind, funny and most of all, full of heart. He was passionate about cars, sports and most importantly, his family. From a young age, he pursued his passion for tennis and played along side his younger sister. He carried his love for tennis with him to his adult life, where not only did he make a career out of it but shared this love with his kids.

He was a devoted father who built a strong bond with his children through teaching them the game of tennis and with that, he became an influential part of the tennis community where he was deeply supported and loved. To his students, he will always be remembered as Coach Paolo aka “Coach P”.

Through his kids, family and friends his memory will remain. He will be remembered for all the times he’s made us laugh or smile, through every story he’s told and every lesson he’s shared.
