Burris, Owen Hulbert ''Bob'' a longtime South Bay resident, (Hawthorne), and for the past 17 years of Kaweah, CA passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 in Torrance. Born in Arkansas, February 28, 1919, Bob was 82. He served in the Navy during W.W.I.I. He had owned a local machine shop, Burco MFG and had been a machinist all of his life. He is survived by wife Doris Burris of Kaweah, CA; sons Michael Burris of Orange, CA, and Patrick Burris of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 5, at 2:00 PM at Santa Paula Cemetery in Santa Paula.
