Coxen, Osmer Homer Osmer H. Coxen, Sr died August 18 at his residence in Torrance, CA. He was 80. Born May 29, 1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas, he enlisted in the Marines and was a veteran of World War II. Osmer worked in the aircraft industry for over 50 years. He was survived and loved by his wife of 52 years, Dora, 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and brother O.J. Coxen and family. Osmer was very dedicated to God, family, and friends. A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Monday August 27 from 5 to 8pm. The Service will be held at the same location on Tuesday at 10am. Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

  1. My Grandfather is the greatest man I have ever known.He carried A pure and positive energy like no other he had the ability to light up a room with a simple hi yah ! Knowing he was around always made me feel good.He is definatley the last of a dying breed a true gentlemen and above all the worlds greatest granfather.I can only hope that some day I can be atleast half as great a man as he was.I know that he will continue spreading his positive energy from heaven were angels like him truely belong.Grandpa I know your listening so I love you I’ll miss and don’t worry we will take care of Grandma.I’ll see you in Heaven.
