Orville Lee Walker Orville Lee Walker, 98, of Los Angeles, CA passed away January 29, 2020 at LA County-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. Orville was born December 4, 1921 in Benton Harbor, MI the son of Elroy Walker and Anna Milneck. In 1948, he married Vera Smith of Deposit, New York at the Methodist Church in McClure. In 1949, Vera and Orville took up full time residence in Los Angeles but spent most of their summers at the Homeoquaga Farm near Oquaga Lake. Orville served in the military and was a veteran. After discharge, he spent many years working in the business world but ultimately found his calling as a high school mathematics teacher in Los Angeles. Orville and Vera’s interest in real estate led them to engaging in the business of creating homes for others through their apartment rental business, including at the Homeoquaga Farm in Deposit. Orville continued to live in the same house in Los Angeles that he and Vera had lived in since 1949. Orville was predeceased by his wife Vera in 2012. He is survived by his son Craig Walker of Burnsville, MN as well as two grandchildren Alyssa (Walker) Binion and Nathanael (Walker) Lobdell also of MN. He is also survived by great grandson Neil Lobdell of MN whom he never had the opportunity to meet. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Pamela (Putnam) Cooney who has provided loving care for Vera and Orville for many years. Orville was also predeceased by his parents; sisters Marjorie (Walker) Ibbotson, Ruth (Walker) Fiske; brothers Russell Walker and Theodore Walker; and an infant child Beverly Jean Walker. Interment will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA which is where Vera and their infant daughter are interred.
