Santany, Norman Lee a resident of Manhattan Beach , passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2001 in Torrance. Norman was born to Paul and Izetta Santany in Kansas City, Missouri on April 23, 1930. He spent the majority of his growing up years in Venice, California with his mom Izetta and his stepfather Harry and 2 sisters Kathleen and Penny. He attended Venice High School and remained life long best friends with many of his High School buddies. He thoroughly enjoyed every activity involving beach and water, such as fishing, diving, surfing, volleyball and even sand combing. He lived and loved life to the fullest enjoying every weekend with his family, his baseball gang and his beach friends.
He worked in the aerospace industry for over 43 years. Norman is deeply loved and adored by his family and will be greatly missed by his sisters Kathleen, Penny, Sylvia and Marilyn; his wife Bonnie and their three daughters Gale, Terri and Tracy along with their husbands; his grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Taryn, Tyler, Tracy Lee and Lindsay; along with his three great grandchildren Parker, Colton and Juna. He was preceded in death by his son Kelly in 1953. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 17, at 2:00 PM at Hope Chapel, 2420 PCH in Hermosa Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or a disater relief fund of the September 11th tragedy in memory of Norman.
