Norma Norrine Kagy died peacefully in her sleep on January 10, 2011. Norma was born on September 22, 1922 in Haynes, Arkansas to James and Naomi Roebuck. At 5 years old her family moved to West Helena, Arkansas where she spent many enjoyable years and graduated for Woodruff High School in 1941. In 1942 while attending a USO dance, she caught the eye of a young Airman, Charles Kagy, who asked her to dance. It must have been love at first sight because they were married six weeks later. Together they had two sons and raised their family in Westchester, California. Her life was centered on her husband, children, and grandchildren. Throughout her 88 years Norma was very active. She loved family activities, being with her friends, and her church group. She enjoyed playing golf, going dancing, hosting neighborhood parties, and traveling. She loved fashion and always looked fabulous. Throughout her life she made numerous friends at home and around the world. She was always extremely thoughtful and always made the extra effort to stay in touch with them. Throughout her life she was adored by her husband, loved and admired by her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. Norma is survived by her two sons, Charles and Russ; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
