Anderson, Noreene Ruth, a 57 year resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Northridge, CA. Noreene was born in Santa Monica, CA and was 57 when she died. Noreene was a member of the Manhattan Beach Community Church and was active in the musical theater productions given by the church. Noreene graduated from Mira Costa High School in 1970 and attended Los Angeles City College majoring in Cinema/Television Production. Noreene was a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), well known for her comedic entertainment act, and performed on such television shows as Arthur Godfrey, Mike Douglas and Regis Philbin. She was awarded the Razzi William Peabody Award for Creativity given to the most creative comedic entertainer of the year. Noreene was also known for her expressive work with marionettes and toured with the Bob Baker Company. Noreene was not only a comedic entertainer but enjoyed acting, screen writing and film production. Noreene was also well known for her performances in many little theater productions in the South Bay during the 70s.
She is survived by her Mother, Mildred Anderson of Manhattan Beach, CA. and her Sister, Sue Cohen of White Bear Lake, MN. Preceded in death by her Father, Frederick Anderson. The Visitation will be held at Pacific Crest Cemetery Chapel on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a Service at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow.
