THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul, he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy Rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.

  4. May the long time sun shine on you. Alll love surround you. And the pure light within you guide your way on. Peace and love.

  5. Nate, I didn’t know you for a long time but I always enjoyed walking into your office and could always count on you for a great conversation, some good laughs, and you reminding me about “the finer things”. Because we shared some good laughs together I think I should apologize for making fun of you the day wore that silly bright orange bucket hat. You did look pretty funny! You took the ribbing like a champ and we had a great day. I will miss you and especially your sense of humor. Rest in peace, my friend.

  6. Steve, You and your family are in our prayers. May God give you the peace to remember and share the memories where Nathan will leave forever. Wanda Gonzalez and the Freetown employees.

  7. Dear Patricia and Steve,

    Sharon Kaufman-Osborn

This is from John O’Donohue’s book, Anam Cara a Book of Celtic Wisdom. Anam Cara means soul friend. The title of the poem means Mother of Night; and in the third stanza curach means boat.

    On the day when

    the weight deadens

on your shoulders and you stumble,

    may the clay dance

    to balance you.

    And when your eyes

    freeze behind

    the gray window

    and the ghost of loss

    gets into you,

    may a flock of colors,

    indigo, red, green,

    and azure blue

    come to awaken in you

    a meadow of delight.

    When the canvas frays

    in the curach of thought

    and a stain of ocean

    blackens beneath you,

may there come across the waters

    a path of yellow moonlight

    to bring you safely home.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,

may the clarity of light be yours,

may the fluency of the ocean be yours,

may the protection of the ancestors be yours.

    And so may a slow

    wind work these words

    of love around you,

    an invisible cloak

    to mind your life.

  8. Dear Patricia and Steve,

Our deepest condolences to you and your family on this tragic loss. May God bless you all and keep Nathan’s memory alive in your hearts always. Tom and Kathryn Tinsley

  9. Steve and Tricia, God holds you in the palm of his hand and I hold you in my thoughts and prayers. Nathan must have been an awesome young man.

  10. Steve, Tricia and Family: Our deepest sympathy; words cannot express our sorrow. The video is a beautiful tribute, it had me in tears. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Will be thinking of you all. Taryn, Gino, and Lara Ziccardi

  11. Nate made a huge impression on me. He was always in a good mood and always found the humor is every situation. When he was in the Riverside County D.A.’s office, he was my frequent opponent, one that I enjoyed sparring with. Kindness and professional courtesy are in direct proportion with competence and Nate had those in abundance. It is impossible to provide comfort for such a loss and Adam’s profile picture on Facebook, one of complete darkness sums it all up perfectly. It is impossible to ever light the space that Adam occupied, but I know we will be seeing him again. Peace be with Adam’s family and I will pray for peace for his family and all who knew him.

  12. Patricia and family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. Words are not enough to express our sadness for you and your family. Thoughts and Prayers are with you. Our deepest sympathy. Dave and Gail Hampton Hackitt

  13. Dear Patricia and Steve, I am so very sorry your loss. I remember seeing the boys when they were just little babies. They were so precious. May God bless you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers now and always. Love, Gail and Les

  14. Patricia, Steve, and family –
My deepest regrets and condolences. The video is an eloquent expression of the bonds of love in your family. My thoughts are with you.
    Eric Dittert

  15. Steve & Tricia,

What a joyous tribute to Nathan in the video. Our hearts weep for the void he leaves in your beautiful family. Our deepest, endless condolences for you, Abbie and Adam.

    Kelly & Kevin O’Shea

  16. I still think about you old friend., growing up and learning about the world together. You told me you were proud of me once, I never forgot that. I have just tried to continue to make you proud. I go to your church in Poway every now and again. I always stop by and see you, I wish we could still talk to each other. But I know we cannot. Rest easy bud, I will see you when the time comes.
