  1. Dear Darnell,

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I know, first hand, the love she had for you. I’ve been thinking of you lately. Please come into my class and say hi, if you have a break from school. Again, I am sorry for your loss. There are few women as wonderful and strong as your grandma. She made a difference.

    Mrs. Shostak Moro
    (your third grade teacher)

  2. Dear Darnell and Tyrese, I am so sorry to hear of your grandmother’s passing. She was truly a grand lady who loved you all dearly. When I saw her two weeks ago at Von’s she was beeming with pride about how well you were doing. Please continue to honor her memory by doing your best and staying inb school. Mrs. Shostak and I were just talking about you today, Darnell. We both think of you as a role model for the young boys today and we tell them they can overcome anything if they work hard. Please call me if you need anything, or just need to talk. (661) 943-6636. I will keep your family in my prayers. Ms. Williams (Your 6th and 5th grade teacher.)
