Molly D. Carpenter was born in Cannetto, Italy on March 23, 1914. She immigrated to America when she was 7 years old arriving through Ellis Island. She was widowed three times and last married to Zack Carpenter. She was very active throughout her life, belonging to different groups including the Hawthorne's Women's Club with it's famous "Kitchen Band" where Molly played the kazoo and performed as the lead singer. She passed away on January 31, 2007 leaving behind two sons, Dominic Giangregorio and Joe Lustro, a daughter, Roquetta Stamps and a legacy of seven grand children and thirteen great grand children. Molly's zest for life was contagious. She sang her way through life bringing joy with her singing to all those around her. She will be greatly missed. The funeral service will be held at McCormick Redondo Beach Chapel on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. The graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 10:00 A.M.
