  1. I remember graduating fifth grade, then middle school, and then high school with her! She was the sweetest girl you could ever meet! She will be truely missed!

  2. Michella captured a part of my heart from the day I met her. She became my son’s best friend and brought so much joy into his and our lives. Even when we moved away, Michella was there for Patrick and made a special effort to attend his graduation last June. She was always a true friend. Michella will hold a place in my heart for all time. She is not gone, I will always feel her presence.

  3. to the family of Michella, we loved her very much, she attended school with my children, she was the cheerleader when my son Nick played football at south high, she always had a warm loving smile for everyone, she is going to be greatly missed in our family, and God Bless her whole family love always Cathy Sanders

  4. To my Micha… You have touched so many people, you are a true angel. You will always be in my heart. Love, your sis

  5. Michella had a wonderful spirit, vivacious personality, and a positive embrace on life that few could ever dream of attaining. Even as a “bratty” 9 year old, you could not deny that spunk that lay within her, ready to emerge and make her into that beautiful woman we knew and loved. She has not stopped either, even in passing; her relentless spirit rises as a majestic phoenix from its ashes, to live in our hearts, and our minds, forever. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

  6. As sad as we all are at the return of Michella to heaven, I’m sure the angels are rejoicing to have one of their brightest, perfect sparkling spirits back in their loving arms. Her job here on earth was complete and although we only had her for a short while the impact on everyone she met or came in contact with will forever make us better people.

  7. Michella is following the path God has laid. She took His hand when she heard His call. She found the peace at the close of day. If her parting has left a void, then, fill it with remembered joys. Her life was full. Perhaps her time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. GOD wanted her now; HE set her free.

  8. My daughter had been friends with Michella since kindergarden so I had the fortune of getting to know her from childhood until young adulthood. Even as a wee one she had the most beautiful luminous eyes and a mega watt smile. She was smart, quick to laugh and had a big soft heart. I don’t know why tragedys like this happen to ones so young, but I do know that in time the shock and pain will fade and in its place, the beautiful and special memories, the keepsakes of the heart, will always remain..we won’t remember the days but the moments..and for me it will always be her coming through my door laughing and flashing that mega watt smile!

  9. On this the morning of what would have been your 21st Birthday, I stil miss you so much. I know you love me and our love for each other will last all of eternity. I will see you again one day. Love, Mom

  10. Michella and my daughter, Alicia, became friends the day we moved in next to Bill, Cheryl and Angie, 14 years ago. They were inseparable…Even after we moved away, they still remained friends, though they weren’t able to see each other as often. We are so saddened by your loss and words cannot express our sorrow. I hope that you are comforted by the fact that your daughter/sister/and wife was an amazing and beautiful young girl that transcended into an equally beautiful young woman. You and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers and we know that Michella will be watching over you and live in our hearts forever. In deepest sympathy, Gina & Alica and our entire family

  11. Michella was a bright beautiful girl with a personality to match. She would brighten my day when I would see her smile. I really enjoyed my time with her when she came for flute lessons. She will be missed and I will always remember her.

  12. Re: Loss of Michella Matasso-Fincannon I want to say that our sincerest condolences go out to your family. Michella was a very beautiful person inside and out. My daughter, Amanda Simpson (graduated in 2003) was a majorette at South High and her birthday is Feb. 12, 1986, so close to Michella’s. Amanda is very sad for your loss. She was at the South High candlelight vigil they had for Michella. Keep her memory alive and she will always be with you. The world has lost a truly beautiful person. Michella is gone but will never be forgotten. She is now in the loving arms of Jesus and we don’t understand it all but as the bible says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” ~Proverbs 3:5 Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our heart goes out to you. Most Sincerely, Dawn & Amanda

  13. Ray and I want to send the family and husband of Michella all our prayers and love at this time. We lost a grandson almost 5 years ago and know the pain that your going through. Michella is beautiful and so loving and will always be in our hearts. I don’t like to use the words “WAS” I would rather tell the world that both of them “ARE” still with us. Michella is “CRUISING HEAVEN” right now as she is the most beautiful ANGEL!!

  14. today is not a day to weep today is a joyous day to keep our angel’s smile in our hearts her sparkling eyes were all a part of the angel we love and held so dear as we entered into a new year she touched us all with her gentle way as she joyously looked toward each new day with a zest for life that could not compare to her contagious laugh heard everywhere she brought joy and hope to all she met for this we all owe her a debt her time was brief but not in vain you see, we’re all together again to share the love she gave us all and all we had to do was call we thought she would be with us forever reality showed us we weren’t that clever to keep her spirit alive is our task and now we each must follow the path that Michella has laid for us to live by be good and kind and love each other listen to everyone, even our mothers laugh when it’s funny and cry when it’s sad but never hurt people or make them feel bad remember this day as we lay her to rest be happy she’s home, she’s done her best and now she deserves her spiritual rest she’ll be with us always on that you can bet she’s the first real angel that I’ve ever met rest in peace our angel Michella

  15. I did not have the priveliage to have met Michella, but just to see her celebration of life video makes me think that she was, and is beautiful angel… I will have you all in my prayers..

  16. Michella Keep Michella’s memory safe in your heart She is there to remind you, you are not apart One cannot touch the lives of so many as she And not leave loves imprint for us all to see Mourn not her passage but Celebrate her days Michella touched all of us in so many ways When you think of her now, do so with cheer Don’t cloud her sweet memory in pain and in fear Rejoice in her life not the pain of what’s past She resides in the safety of His arms at last Let her light be a beacon for us one and all She will be there to greet us when we hear the call

  17. Michella will be missed by her family and friends. The tremendous support of everyone is what is going to help us to move on with our lives. Michella really was a breath of fresh air. She lighted up a room just by entering it, even if it was just our little livingroom. What I will miss most is the private time that we had as just a mother and a daughter, sitting together and talking, especially when she got home from work and I should have been going to bed. I love her so much and she will live forever in my heart, until our hearts beat together again, up in heaven.
