  4. Wanted to send you my condolences as well ~ Mike will remain in my thoughts. Your unselfish love for him is testimony to me of the wonderful person he was. I’m grateful that I’ve met, befriend, and had laughs with him. My sincerest sympathy to the Deboe’s family.

  5. Mike- You came across in our life like such a bright blazing star across the night sky. You brought so much joy, fun, love and laughter to each and every one of us. You treated everyone the same no matter how different they were. You always treated women with kind respect that’s a rarity to see these days. You left such a huge, gaping hole in our hearts and in our community. I can imagine you have St. Peter laughing hysterically on the floor of the pearly gates of heaven! That’s so you Mike! You are loved by so many! Love and hugs, Erin

  6. Our family first met you as a beautiful, vivacious, smart, athletic (even at 2 yrs) toddler in 1978. You were wearing pale blue shorts, white shirt and a little jacket to match. You came to our house with your mom and dad and met all the other families in your first class, with Ms. Jan Feldman and Gladys. You were part of our lives, your presence always lit up our home, with your smiles and jokes. We are devastated. We loved you then, we love you now and will love you forever in our hearts; your spirit is with us and our spirit is with you. Love, Pat and Christine Sullivan and children, Rachel, Kelly and Tim.

  7. I remember Mike when we were little kids at Anderson School. He was full of curiosity and willing to cheer anyone there. I had a blast time with him playing baseball when we were young on the same team managed by our fathers. Your family will be in our prayers. Love, Heather (Van Zee) Laine

  8. Michael, Dude, you will be greatly missed. I do know that you really did try hard to do the right thing. I was there with you and right next to you the whole time. 9. Michael was a very vibrant man with passion for life. He was an amazing man and always go out of his way to help someone out. I befriended with Mike for 7 years now. Also Mike sent me out to LV to help with his DJ party in 2005 and I met his mother during my visit. Mike has left a footprint in my heart that I will not forget him as a great friend that anyone can ever ask for. My deepest condolences to the family. I am very sorry to hear about his passing away which cast a gloomy day for everyone that loved Mike when he departed this earth.

  10. Michael, I already knew that I will miss you so much because you will not paddle out in water with me anymore after you had been my surf mate for more than 10 years. Also, I will miss your mischief, jokes, warm smiles and your very strong spirit. Please catch more waves in heaven for me. : )

  11. I believe Michael is surfing in the heavens, laughing with his cousins Shawn & Tim, listening to uncle Ronny telling the best jokes, Aunt Patti,Carol,Joyce, Donna,Sharon giving him a lot of hugs, and kisses. For sure I know Aunt Eldean has already given him the once over to make sure he’s alright. What ever demons Michael fought with here are long gone, and my bet is he’s riding the biggest wave ever.

  12. The time you won your town the race We chaired you through the market place; Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high. Today, the road all runners come, Shoulder-high we bring you home, And set you at your threshold down, Townsman of a stiller town. To an Athlete Dying Young A.E. Housman

  18. I’m so sorry for the lost of Mike, a passionate and good friend. I remember the only time he took me down to Lower Trestles to surf my first world class wave. We spend all day catching waves and enjoying the sun. I caught my first world class wave! and its all thanks to Mike. I will always remember his smile and big heart that warmed mine that day. 20. Oh, Mike. Mike. What were you thinking? I thought you were so smart than this? I remember our first meeting. I remember watching you changing from this radical young surfer into reggae band. I remember you chatting with my dad because he was in a reggae band. I rem how you enjoyed life…always happy, smiling that big toothy grin with slanted eyes. Full of zest. Full of energy. Don’t know how my life will be without you, but thanks for being there. Thanks for being Mike. I wouldn’t be where I am now, if you weren’t here. The universe will have to go on without you. I hope you are where you should be. I hope to see you again. Take care! Hugs. ILY. Bye, Mike.
