Lapper, Michael Alan,â€Mick†a 9 year resident of Hermosa Beach, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 in Santa Monica following a brave fight against cancer. Born in Oxford, England, Michael was 56 when he died. He was a Manager at Marina Auto Body in Marina Del Rey. Mick was loved by all employees there and will be sorely missed. Settling easy into the Californian lifestyle, Mick loved surfing at the beach and snowboarding in the mountains with his son, Callum. These were things they both enjoyed doing together as father and son. Mick’s passions were soccer and spending time at the beach with family and friends. Mick is survived by wife, Julie Lapper of Hermosa Beach, CA; son, Callum Lapper of Hermosa Beach, CA; and daughters, Emma and Hayley Doggart of Redondo Beach CA. Also in England, mother Peggy Lapper; sons Mark and Andrew Lapper and brothers Steve and Kevin Lapper. He was preceded in death by father, Tony Lapper and brother Gary Lapper. The Service will be held at Rice Mortuary on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.

We were friends for over 40 years and we nearly made that trip to Vegas. The last time I saw you Mick you were fit and well and that is how I will remember you. If there is a football pitch upstairs I am sure you will scoring a few.
