Raizen, Merrill Lawrence (Larry), a resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2007 in Inglewood. Born in Denver, CO. Larry was 59 when he died. Larry had served in the Army during The Vietnam War.
Career notes â€“ CIO of Centinela Freeman Hospital for the past year. Primarily worked in the medical field with Perot Systems for the last 20 years. Prior to that worked in construction and went to school.
Personal interests & hobbies: family, maintained his relationships with family and friends throughout the years, some of his friendships have lasted 30 years, avid golfer, loved nature, enjoyed road trips, technology, stained glass, antique bottles
Civic activities Coached his childrenâ€™s sporting activities to include baseball, basketball, soccer, track & field. Participated in the American Heart Association events throughout the year. Founder and chairman of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation annual golf tournament in Eureka, CA.
Passions: family dinner time was must to reflect on each others day, golf

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Raizen of Redondo Beach, CA, Father, Bernard Raizen of Denver, CO, Son, Samuel Raizen of Redondo Beach, CA, Son, Joshua Smith of Redondo Beach, CA, Daughter, Lisa DeForge of Loveland, CO, Daughter, Lisa (Shawn) Leech of Phoenix, AZ, Sister, Diane Raizen of Centinneal, CO, Brother, Randall (Lynn) Raizen of Denver, CO, and Brother, Theodore (Louise) Raizen of Philadelphia, PA. Preceded in death by his Mother, Henrietta Raizen.
The Service will be held at Journey of Faith Baptist Church on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. A reception will follow at the Church. Burial will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico .
