  1. I was shocked to hear about Mel’s untimely passing and you have my deepest sympathy. Melvin was a wonderful young man and I was ever so blessed to have been under his management while working for Fed. Ex. He was a great Manager, fair and open to ideas from those under him and treated everyone kindly. I loved working for him and to me he was the best of the best. My deepest sympathy to the family he has left behind.

  2. With deepest sympathy to the entire family. Mel was my “boss, mentor, and friend”, and not a day will go by that I will not sit and reflect on what he has taught me and inspired me to do. If I am able to have a life that has impacted so many in such a short, I will have total fulfillment. The years we have spent together will truly be the experiences of my life that I will remember forever.

  3. I’m very sadden that Mel’s life was cut short. He was more then a boss, he was also a friend. He helped me to become the successful person that I am today. Mel helped everyone. He made time for everyone for whatever reason, no questions asked. I will miss Mel, but he will always be a part of me. Mel, until we meet again.

  4. i didnt know mel very long, but what i did know was his warmth and great smile.you could just tell he was the kind of person you could confide in and not be judged.he made an impact on so many people for tne short time he was here.god bless you mel.

  5. Mel was an extraordinary man. I learned a lot from him while working at Long Beach station. He gave me support when my grandmother passed on. He was a fair Senior manager and he will be extremely missed. My prayers are with his family

  6. I worked for Mel nearly 10yrs. And learned alot from him. He was a good man. My heart goes out to the family, and may God walk with you in time of your pain. He will be remembered.
