LOPEZ, MAXIMO, Passed away February 15, 2002 in a South Bay Hospital. Mr. Lopez, a native Californian, was born May 12, 1924 in Los Angeles. In the last years of his working life, he was employed at Bishop Montgomery High School. He is survived by his devoted wife, Liduvina (Contreras) Lopez of Redondo Beach, his children: Son, Maximo Lopez, Jr. of Gavilan Hills, CA, Daughters, Rosa Herrera of La Mirada, CA, and Martha Burks of Garden Grove, CA, Son, Miguel Lopez of Lawndale, CA and Daughter, Lido Ferrari of Torrance, CA. Also left to mourn his passing are his Sister, Maria de Jesus Lopez of Redondo Beach, CA and his Brothers, Raul Lopez of Anaheim and Miguel Lopez of Victorville, CA. Mr. Lopez is the blessed grandfather of Maximo Lopez,III, Lewis Lopez, Kriste Clark, Christina Lopez and Vanessa Herrera. Visitation will be at RICE MORTUARY, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA, 90503 on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002 starting at 6:00 PM. Rosary recitation will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (5th Street at Massey) in Hermosa Beach, CA. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Culver City, CA.
