Taylor, Mary Walsh a 41 year resident of Torrance, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2006 in Torrance. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mary was 79 when she died. Mary was a member of St. Edmunds Episcopal Church. Mary retired approx. 20 years ago as Director of Volunteers at L.A. County/ USC Medical center, Pediatric Pavillion. Civic Activities: Past President of California Heart Association, Past member of Board of Directors of American Heart Association. Was instrumental in helping to get 911 system approved by California Senate and Assembly. Passions/ Hobbies: Tennis. She loved tennis and rarely missed a televised match. She kept up on all the players, and new their rankings etc. She is survived by Daughter, Elizabeth Kavaloski of Santa Ynez, CA, Son, Fenton Taylor of Torrance, CA and Son, Thomas Taylor of Van Nuys, CA. Preceded in death by Father, Edward Walsh and Mother, Ethel Walsh. The Memorial Service will be held at St. Edmunds Church at 1175 S. San Gabriel Blvd. San Marino, Ca. 91108 on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will be private.
