MARY LONERO (Age 97)
Mary Lonero, née DeBenedictis, transitioned peacefully to heaven into the presence of Jesus Christ our Lord on June 6, 2020. She was the 5th of six children born to Joseph and Carmella DeBenedictis in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. In June 1948 she married  Enrico ‘Andrew’ Lonero. She was the beloved mother of 3 sons, Patrick, Thomas and Robert (wife-Theresa); 5 grandchildren – Lukas, Tymothy, Brandon (Cari), Bryan, and Mary-Christine (Justin) and 6 great-grandchildren.
Mary pursued a career in nursing at age 48 and upon retirement, continued her passion to care for others as a volunteer at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. It suited her servant heart.
She enjoyed cooking, experimenting with new dishes on her kids. She also loved ballroom dancing and she danced until she was 83 years young, when she suffered a stroke. Even after her stroke, our Lord blessed her with the ability to volunteer part time.
Mary, aka Mal, will be missed by her immediate family, her only surviving brother-in-law, George and his wife, Rose; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

  2. candle 7Malley will forever be alive in our wonderful memories of her smile, baking, fun loving nature and her quirky way of beating the family at a good game of cards. Our deepest sympathy to the sons she loved so much.

  3. candle 7For my Aunt Mal, though the passing of time led us to different parts of this land, I was always kept current by my sisters and your sons. The memories of your laughter, kind touch, wonderful smile and loving notes – will always be with me. May God continue to Bless your living soul. Love, Greg & Melba Lonero

  4. candle 7We are praying for Aunt Mal’s family to be comforted with the assurance that she is now and forever filled with joy in the Presence of The LORD! She sparkled with her love for Jesus and for her family! Her warmth and laughter will be greatly missed. With much love, Sandy and Nancy

  5. candle 7Jesus said, I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. He has shown Mary the path of life, and now in His presence she has joy in the fullest sense of the word, and blessings innumerable. Now may the Lord of peace Himself, our compassionate Father, give you peace and comfort at all times and in every way. We are all praying for you.

  6. candle 7To Bob & Theresa and the rest of the Lonero family,
We pray that the Lord gives you strength and covers you in peace during your sorrow, with the knowledge that Mary is resting in the arms of our Savior. May your beautiful family feel those same arms of Love and Comfort till we all meet our Lord Jesus.
    With Love, your fellow servants,
    Mike & Patrice

  7. candle 1To Bob & Tessie
May the Lord and your memories, comfort you at this time.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole Lonero family.
