I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways. Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun. Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

  1. Jean and I grew up in Merrill, WI and knew each other since age 8. What I remember about our times together, our letters and conversations from then on, will stay with me forever. She is my lifelong friend. And still is in spirit. It makes me feel good.

  2. As my mother’s dear friend, Jean has been a part of my life since I was born. She was always funny and caring, interested in the lives of my sisters and me. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  3. I lived close to Jean in California for many years. She would visit the restaurant where i worked and we would trade stories about my mom’s and hers lifelong friendship. That always made me feel close to my mom. Jean was a sweet, caring woman whom i will miss. My heartfelt condolences to Melanie, Candy, Matt and all of her family.
