Mary Ellen Combs, 75, of Lawndale, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2022. Mary grew up in Santa Monica with her sister Barbara and brother John. Mary loved the South Bay and worked for El Camino College for over 20 years both in administration and serving on their Board of Trustees for several terms.

Mary is survived by her son Shawn Goldenberg and Ronald Combs, Debra Combs and Dana Combs. 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Mary lived a great life full of family and friends.

We have decided to have a celebration of her life held in her honor in lieu of a traditional funeral service. We request all of Mary’s loved ones to join us in her celebration at Rice Center Lighthouse, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance California 90503. The celebration will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 10:30 am. If you are unable to join us in person, you can view the celebration online at this Zoom link.

We ask that you try to wear something Purple because that was Mary’s favorite color.

A reception will follow the celebration are her home in Lawndale. Details will be shared at the celebration.
