Marion P. "Barney" Barnwell passed away at home in El Segundo on December 21, 2005 He is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Joan, 10 of their 11 children, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as on brother, one sister and five nieces and nephews.   1. We were saddened to hear of the passing of “Barney,” whom we remember as as a great man. We extend our condolences to the entire family.

Dear Friends: All the many friends of the Barnwell famly in Stateburg, Sumter, and especially in the Church of the Holy Cross join in extending sympathy to the Barnwell family on the death of Marion Barnwell. Even though he had been away from Stateburg for a long time, his name remains on the “Roll of Honor” for the Holy Cross sons (and daughters) who served in World War II.
