Kasper, Marion Irene a 39 year resident of Los Angeles, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2006 in Marina Del Rey. Born in Rochester, NY, Marion was 91 when she died.
Marion was a member of St. Jerome Church. She was a long-time member of the Airport Marina Woman's Club, having served as secretary. She played bridge regularly with different groups. She was a member of the St. Jerome Senior Center and participated in many of their activities, including bus trips to southern California attractions, Las Vegas and Indian casinos. She volunteered for a number of years at the Food Pantry, helping distribute food to people in need. She enjoyed sewing and took a number of sewing and crafts classes over the years.
She is survived by Daughter, Laurie (Jim) Gwyn of Los Angeles, CA and Son, Richard (Marlene) Kasper of Nampa, ID. Preceded in death by Husband Arthur, Son, Michael, Father, George Richens and Mother, Laura Richens. A gathering of family & friends will be held at White & Day Manhattan Beach Chapel on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. The Service will be held at St. Jerome Church on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. A reception will follow at Marion's Home from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
