Marion E. Deel

Born on April 28, 1913 in Los Angeles to Ethel Fern Collins Hay and William Emmet Hay. Died May 10, 2003 in Mission Viejo, CA. She was a graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1934. Employment included Children's Home Society; Director of Admitting for Children's Hospital, Los Angeles; and for OB BYN, Dr. Schecter. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, John E. Deel, twin sister Marie E. Hiatt and brother Raymond Hay. She is survived by her daughter Janet Zieschang, step-daughters Carol Deel, Marry Hughes and Betty Cashin, Step-son Paul Deel, niece Joanne Maloney, nephew John Hiatt, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 15, 2003 from 4:00PM to 8 PM at White & Day Colonial Mortuary, 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Funeral services will be Friday, May 16, 11:00AM at the same location. Interment will follow at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
