Maria Luisa was survived by her husband of 54 years (Roberto M. Estrada), 6 children (Iliana, Dolores, Alma, Luisa, Blanca, and Roberto Jr.), 9 grandchildren (Amanda, Jacqui, Matt, Orlando, Brittny, Marissa, Christian, Isabella and Sophia), and 1 great grandchild (Onyx). Maria Luisa was deeply loved by her family whom she held near and dear to her heart. Her family was always her priority. She was the nucleus that held her family together. She helped raise all her grandchildren in their early years and never stopped giving them advise and encouragement. This helped mold them into the kind and resilient young adults and children they are today. She was a talented artisan and gifted seamstress. Her family and friends loved wearing her beautifully intricate crochet pieces and eating her amazing home cooking. She raised two generations on her famous "sopita," tamales, moles and chicken salad. She had an incredible presence -- a gentle, calming, and tender soul. Those that sought her advice were never judged and walked away feeling peaceful. Her infectious laughter and colorful jokes filled the room with joy. As a woman and mother, her strength and resilience has forevermore left an imprint on all her kids and grandkids. She was a true angel among us. Her legacy of unconditional love and unwavering faith will live on through the many generations that will follow her. María Luisa fue profundamente querida por su familia a quien ella siempre mantuvo cerca a su corazón. Su familia siempre fue su primera prioridad. Ella era el núcleo que mantenía la unida entre su familia. Ella ayudó criar a todos sus nietos y nunca dejó de darles consejos y alientos para motivarlos e inspirarlos que nunca se rindan. Ella era una artesana talentosa y dotada costurera. Su familia y amigos gozaron de sus bellos tejidos y comida casera hecha con tanto amor. Ella crió a dos generaciones con su famosa "sopita," tamales, moles y ensalada de pollo. Tenía una presencia increíble, calmante y tierna. Aquellos que buscaban sus consejos siempre los recibian sin juzgamentos y se iban con paz. Su risa contagiosa y chistes coloridos llenaban el ambiente de alegría. Como mujer y madre, su fuerza y perseverencia ha dejado para siempre una huella en todos sus hijos y nietos. Ella era una verdadera ángel entre nosotros. Su legado de amor incondicional y la fe inquebrantable vivirá a través de las muchas generaciones que la seguirán.

    You taught me grace, you taught me Love and above all you taught me to respect everyone. You taught me that having a thankful heart and a humble spirit will take us further. I witnessed you practice this throughout my whole life and I have admired you always. I watched you affect every person you touched with laughter, love and companion. Your tenderness and love towards everyone was a gift along with your humor that lit up a room! Thank you for all your love and eternal continued advise!     You also taught me to be strong. I witnessed your strength throughout my whole life. My strength and determination to persevere in my life came from you! Above all, the Love as a mother was the biggest gift I’m most proud of! You are the most Loving, kind and giving mother we could have ever asked for.
