  1. I was so sorry to learn of Peggy’s passing. She was a wonderful member of the Torrance Community and will be greatly missed. I’m involved with the Torrance Rose Float Association and she was a great supporter of our organization. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

  2. I am so sorry to hear of Peggy’s passing. I had the great privilege of serving on the Torrance Library Commission with her as well as being involved in the Historical Society with her. She was truly committed to making a difference and she did. And, she was also one of the nicest people I have ever met. She even made me glad to attend her Pampered Chef Parties! Quite a feat. I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you all.

  3. Peggy Basile was a very special person and we dearly miss her. She was a wonderful friend for many years, starting when she was our wonderful tenant for many years on Engracia. We shall really miss her. Francis and Marcia Cribbs

  4. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. I did not know Margaret well, but we did go to Torrance High School together. Again, my sympathies to the family. Nora Lusero

  5. Guys, I can’t begin to tell you how stunned and deeply saddened I am by Peggie’s death. I didn’t even know she was sick. She sent me a Christmas card! I found out about her death by visitng the Daily Breeze website. I miss Torrance so much, so I like to keep up on what’s happening around town. I clicked on the obituaries to see what the paper said about your dad. What a shock when it came up with Peggie’s obit. I’m so sorry. She was so much fun and so many people liked her. Life sucks sometimes. And it couldn’t happen to a nicer family. Maybe she’s playing rope in Heaven with the Lord. Your brother Greg and I agree that there won’t be harps in Heaven for us — just French horns! She’s got new body with no problems. No tears. No pain. Spunds pretty good to me. Hang in there. God is too loving to ever be cruel and too wise to ever make a mistake.
