Margaret Fowler Hartman, a 32-year resident of Torrance, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2003, in Torrance, CA. She was born in Steele, MO on June 18, 1921, and the daughter of Luther and Eva Fowler. In 1943, Margaret moved to Los Angeles. In 1946 she married Phillip Louis Hartman. Mrs. Hartman was a full-time homemaker while raising their two daughters. In 1971 the family moved to Torrance and Margaret became a Campus Aide at West High School. She was a familiar figure on campus and at athletic events until her retirement in 1985. Her husband, Phillip, her parents, three sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Survived by her daughters Elizabeth Huthert and Loretta Duvall, sons-in-law James Huthert and Richard Duvall, and grandson, Phillip Duvall; James and Elizabeth's daughters, Louise Magno and Penny Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, December 5th from 4 to 8pm. Funeral Services will be at White and Day Colonial Mortuary at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 6, 2003. Burial will follow immediately at Green Hills Memorial Park in Palos Verdes. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to The Wellness Community at 100 W.
