Tiangha, Marcial Tiña, a 28-year South Bay resident, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2009 in Torrance. He was 93. Born in the Philippines, Marcial immigrated with his family to Hawthorne, then Redondo Beach, CA and subsequently moved to Manhattan Beach, CA. He was a devout parishioner of American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach and former parishioner of St. James Church in Redondo Beach. He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Clara Tiangha of Manhattan Beach, CA; daughter Isabelita (Nonito) Zamora of Hawthorne, CA; son, Manuel (Lydia Ayson) Tiangha of Manhattan Beach, CA; daughter Maria Fe Tiangha of Alameda, CA; sister, Juana Pontoy of the Philippines; 4 grandchildren (Elizabeth, Catherine, Teresa and Anthony), and 6 great grandchildren (Jolie, Mason, Morgan, Erin, Mario and Chloe). He was preceded in death by his parents, Donato and Luisa Tiangha; and his son, Michael Tiangha. His body will lie in repose at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach on Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 8 pm, and a Rosary held at 8pm. The Service will be held at American Martyrs on Friday, September 11 at 10am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. A reception immediately following the burial will be held for friends and family at American Martyrs' O'Donnell Hall.
