MARCELLA MARION GENTLE 1911-2006 Marcella Gentle, a 75 year resident of Redondo Beach passed away on Wednesday, March 15th while vacationing with her family. She was born in Eveleth, Minnesota on August 23, 1911. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Colbert "Roy" Gentle and son Billy and daughter Patricia. She is survived by daughters Barbara Alexander, Mona Whitney (Roger), Gloria Pedersen (Jim), Carol Amer (Tosh Hiraide), and Suzanne Inzunza (Gil). She is also survived by grandchildren Mike, Mark, Jimmy and Lori Cornett, Kathy, Alex, Desiree and Paul Alexander, Kim, Kristi, and Kara Grall, John Gentle, Cary Hergenrother, Steve, Joey, Denise and Donald Inzunza, and Layna Shuppert and 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her family in Wisconsin includes nephews Ken, Jim, and Gene Ulvila and niece Maryanne Collins. In addition to her children, she was the adopted "Mom" of Leoni, Valerie, Gail, Dave, Marie, and Lenita. She was the adopted "Grandma" to many. Her first loves were her family, friends and her faith. She loved being on the go, was an avid reader, crossword puzzle enthusiast and an accomplished pianist. She was devoted to her church and was the longest-living member along with twice being honored as Mother of the Year. She returned to college after her children were grown and pursued a nursing career. She kept her family and friends constantly laughing with her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Mom, you were the wind beneath our wings. We Love You.
