Magdalena Bigornia De La Paz

Magdalena "Nena" Bigornia de la Paz, age 92, resident of Carson, California for 11 years, peacefully died on January 9, 2017 at Harbor Post-Acute Care Center in Torrance, California. She was born on July 25, 1924 in Manila, Philippines to the late Arsenio Bigornia and Francisca Guilas. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, homemaker and caretaker to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, embroidery, sewing, gardening, singing, listening to the radio, watching the news, and providing love and support to all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was deeply admired and dearly loved by all of her 11 children, 27 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Armando and granddaughter, Maria Therese in 1981; husband, Amado in 1986; daughter-in-law, Mary in 1997; great-granddaughter, Charlene Joy in 1998; daughter-in-law, Socorro in 2007; sons, Paulino in 2009 and Noel in 2010; and grandson, Ronaldo in 2012. Nena is survived by her children and their spouses: Narciso and his wife, Theresa; Armando's widows, Pacquita and Elena; Edmundo and his wife, Trinidad; Maximo; Evelyn and her ex-husband, Serafin, and her fiancé, Danny; Paulino's widow, Nelia; Olivia and her husband, Tony; Josephine and her husband, Rolando; Anselmo; Valentino and his wife, Erlinda; Noel's widows, Claire and Anne. Nena is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Winston and his wife, Rowena; Lyndon and his wife, Chona; Jefferson and his wife, Jocelyn; Neil and his wife, Sheila; Prince Jackson and his wife, Candee; Nigel and his wife, Jolina; Roberto and his wife, Rowena; Vivina and her husband, Benjie; Ronaldo's widow, Analyn; Al and his wife, Felma; Edith and her husband, Carlos; Edna; Edgar; Erlyn and her husband, Louis Anthony; Elizar and his wife, Leny; Emmanuel and his wife, Wilma; Jhonalyn; Sherrylyn and her fiancé, Casper; Jhoselyn and her husband, Brian Daniel; Paul and his wife, Venus; Mary Grace; Ryan Christopher and his wife, Mariel; Marc Oliver; Ralph Joseph; Presian; Noanne. Nena is also survived by her great-grandchildren and their families: Cielo Amor; Kevin Ross; Kamille Joy; Kyle Angelo; Karisse Hannah; Kirsten Louise; Kenan Daniel; Dominic; Yazmine; Jerome Christopher; Kirsten Fiona; Josh Nathan; Nicole Chelsea; Kate Heather; Nash Matthew; Keira Ashley; Nigel Angelo; Nigel Iakee; Jessica; Nikcole; Jennifer Jill and her husband, Ama; Anjellyca; John Ianmin; Charmaine; Chastine Dianne; Cianne; Christian and his wife; Keith and his wife; Lance Paolo; Angelo Daniel; Aiden; Edd Carlo and his wife, Mayvell; Charlie; Anne Dominique; Juliana Meg; Kurt Luis; Kevin; Jhoey Louise; Eljay; Elijah; Brix John; Angelo; Dennyse-Anjhelynn; Joana Rinoa; Pauline; Wayne Alexander; and her five great-great-grandchildren: Harvey, Jovan, Zev Luis, Clifford, and Snow. Private viewing for the family will be held on the morning of January 17, 2017 at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, California. Nena's Celebration of Life will be held in the afternoon of January 17, 2017 at her daughter's residence in Carson, California.
