Mae Phelan was a true American pioneer. Born in 1914 in northern Montana to a family of homesteaders, Mae was one of the first women graduates of the University of Washington where she received her B.A. degree in English.
She moved to Chicago, married, ran several sucessful businesses and raised 9 children. Mae pased away on Thanksgiving. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Phelan and Sharon Rosenberg, of Rolling Hills Estates, as well as children Bob Phelan, Mike Sullivan, Carol Lauraitis, Lois Sullivan-Taylor, Ed Sullivan, John Sullivan, 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on November 30th at 2PM at McCormick Redondo Beach Chapel.
