LOUIS M. STARK,
Born, August 15, 1923, (A 4th generation San Franciscan), passed away Friday, August 22, 2003 at Little Company of Mary Hospital. Lou was a WW II veteran, a 50 year member of Knights of Columbus, an American Legion member for 49 years & a past commander of Sunset Post, San Francisco, a St. James Catholic Church parishioner for nearly 40 years, and past president and active parent of Bishop Montgomery High School and booster club. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 55 years Joan, and his six children; Michael (Tracy), Richard (Sharon), Susan (Gary), Teresa (George), Timothy (Robyn), Thomas (Tammy), and the joy of his life, his 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his twin brother, William and younger brother Leo. Lou will be lying in state for visitation from 6:00 PM until the start of the Vigil and Rosary Recitation at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003 at St. James Catholic Church, 415 Vincent St., Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be the next morning, Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 10:00 AM, also at St. James Church. Private inurnment will be at Riverside National Veterans Cemetery. En Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Catholic School.

To The Stark Family, Knowing the difficulty everyone is feeling right now, I know in our hearts that Lou is sharing his wit and humor to all in heaven. That is one memory we have when ever we came to the Stark home during our college years. Lou was always a perfect host and warm man to be around.
