  1. TO MRS EDNA SLAUGHTER AND ALL THE FAMILY MEMBERS OF MAMA LOUELLA KNOW THAT SHE MADE SUCH MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE IN EVERYONE’S LIFE SHE TOUCHED SO SWEET AND CARING. BE STRONG MAY YOUR HAPPY MEMORIES HELP TO EASE YOUR SORROW.

  2. During times like this may all of our prayers bring you and your family strength and support. May God Be With You. From Dancee, Alex & Beverly Brown

  3. My cousin Louella told me a funny story about her step-father, Uncle Johnny. After Louella’s mother died; who was Aunt Gertrude, Louella brought Uncle Johnny to California to live with her. Now Uncle Johnny was a double amputee and he had a truck in Phoenix, AZ that he wanted. He bothered Louella so until she went and got that truck. Now being a double amputee Uncle Johnny could not drive the truck. Louella went out one day and heard Uncle Johnny talking to another man who wanted to buy the truck. The man was blind but Uncle Johnny was going to sell the truck! Louella was more like a sister to me than a cousin and I loved her.

  4. How we wish we were in California to celebrate Louella’s life and to mourn her passing. She of the infectious laugh, calm hands, and open heart. Louella not only welcomed our daughter Caroline into this world – swaddling her with love, common sense, and good humor but she also mothered myself and Colin as we navigated those first months of Caroline’s life. Please let us know how we can reach Louella’s family so we may convey our thoughts. With our deepest sympathies, Elizabeth & Colin Callender

  5. Lexie, I pray that you & your family find comfort in God’s Loving Arms. I pray that you hold unto the loving memories. Kimmie

  6. When thinking of Louella, so many wonderful memories come to mind. One of our favorites is remembering how our son felt so comfortable lying on her chest, a warm and safe place for a small baby. One night, when she was holding our son, she asked Jimmy where he was going out. “The Baja Cantina,” he replied. She looked at him, and exclaimed, “Your Ba-Ho days are over!” We’ll always remember her hilarity and wit. She was a unique and special woman who made such a positive, loving and fun impact on all of our lives. We will forever be grateful for the time we shared with Louella. Our love goes out to her family. Love, The Caan Family

  7. Our deepst sympathy,we will always have Louella in our heart and the special memories she left with us. She was a very special lady and a cousin.
