Loleitha Powell Teysko, a 46 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2007 in San Pedro. Born in Fryeburg, Bienville Parish, Louisiana, she was 84 when she died. Loleitha traveled the world as an Air Force wife. She was a nurse at Gardena Community Hospital for twenty years, and was an expert and prolific quilt-maker. Loleitha was a dear and generous friend to all. She is survived by her Daughter, Sandra Hitchcock of Olympia, WA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Bill and Cindy Teysko of Lemon Grove, CA; four Grandchildren: Brad, Paul, Allison (husband Theis), and Jon (wife Heather); and two Great Grandchildren, Sicily and Canaan. She was preceded in death by her Father, Ezra Marvin Powell; Mother, Lucy (Wiggins) Powell; Daughter, Deborah Ann Teysko; and Husband, Edward Teysko. Burial will be in Ringgold, Louisiana at Providence Cemetery on January 9, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Ringgold Louisiana.
