Lola Hawker, a 34 year resident of Torrance, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012. Born in Santa Monica, CA, Lola was 64 when she died. Lola was one of the North End "PTA Gals". She was a graduate of Inglewood High and had a long career with Wells Fargo Bank. In the 80's she became one of the first Personal Banking Officers when the bank initiated the program. Passionate about her relationships with friends and family there was always time to talk and listen. Lola is survived by husband, Michael Hawker and daughters, Christine and Lisa Hawker. She was preceded in death by parents John and Carol Evendoll. The Memorial Service will be held at Rice Mortuary on Monday November 19, 2012 at 6:30 pm with a reception following in Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room until 9:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any cancer research organization.
Lola was such a special friend. While we didn’t get to see much of each other, we knew she, along with her best friend and husband, Mike, would always be there for her friends and family. Lola was not just my sister-in-law, but the sister I always wanted. I still can’t believe she is gone, but I’m glad she is free from pain. She was a real sweetheart and I will always miss her and keep our happy memories in my heart.
