SANOCKI, Leo Jan. 15, 1923 - Aug. 12, 2008 Leo was born on a farm in Ypsilanti, MI. One of six children, he learned early on to be industrious and creative, a theme carried forth throughout his life. After serving in the armed forces in WWII, he earned his BS at UC Berkeley in 1955. Working in the aerospace field for more than 40 years, he retired at the age of 70, continuing to use his talents to help others. Preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Anne. He leaves behind his long-time friend for 25 years, Annabeth Kirchner, four children: Susan Sanocki, Jim Sanocki (Ansu), Dan Sanocki (Bobbie), Margaret Blaser (Read Spencer), seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Sept. 5th at the American Martyrs Catholic Church, 624 15th Street, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, c/o St. Vincent Foundation, 2222 Ocean View Ave., Suite 114, Los Angeles, CA 90057.
