Holland, Laurence Lee, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 in Torrance. Born in Vancouver, WA, Laurence was 51 when he died. Laurence had served in the US Army. He is survived by Wife, Audrey Holland of Gardena, CA, dog, Coco, Father, Alfred Holland of Chiloquin, OR, Brother, Michael Holland of Long Beach, CA, Brother, Stephen Holland of Bellevue, WA, Brother, Jeffrey Holland of Kansas City, KA, Sister, Peggy Oberding of Sparks, NV.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2002, 2:00PM - 8:00PM with Funeral Services Friday, November 15, 2002, 2:00PM, both at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance.
Dear Audrey, I am so sorry about Larry. I worked with him for many years and always enjoyed his sense of humor and easy manner. His love of computers and electronic \’gadgets\’ was alwys fun. You have my deepest sympathy. Fondly, Susan Beckman

To Audrey, I have known Larry for over 23 years. When I started working for Hughes, I met Larry the first day. He was a joker and always had a smile. Willing to help you anyway he could. He showed me how to laugh, party and trap shooting. I will miss him very much. Audrey, I know that this is hard for you and your family, but Larry was really suffering and he is now in a good place amd making it ready for us when our time comes. God bless you Audrey. Larry and I worked very close together on the set upof the cathode lab for about 2 years. Larry also helped me with purchasing of new hardware used for the cathode lab and the technology area. We shared our accomplishments and frustrations over the 3 years I knew him and gave each other mutual support during good times and hard times. Rest in peace Larry. I will miss you.

Larry was a great guy, and I mean that in the most complimentary of terms. He was kind and sincere and someone you could always count on. As a co-worker he was giving of his experience and time, and someone to be relied on in any situation. I will miss him………………so will we all here at EDD where he spent so many years as our friend. I will miss Larry, he was fun to be around. He is the only person I\’ve ever seen swing at a golf ball and have the ball bounce off both shins, fall down on all fours and laugh till the pain was gone.

Audrey — I\’m so sorry to hear about Larry. I will always smile when I think of Larry, his smiling face greeting me in the morning when I entered Bldg. 230, and always asking how I\’m doing when we\’d see each other in the halls. And I will always remember that he was one of the first people to ask me to add his email address to the electronic Experss On-Line mailing list. And he\’d compliment me on the paper from time time.

Uncle Larry would always tell me about the time when I fell down on the coffee table when I was two years old. (mickey)- “I can remember at management club meetings in the 80\’s, talking with Larry about the old muscle cars of the 60\’s, then one time, during dinner, we slipped out into the parking lot to pop the hood on your 5.0 liter MUSTANG. We anylized it for 20 minutes, then, slipped back in for dinner”. It\’s a great memory.
