  1. candle 7Moose was an exceptional person. He never complained about his illness and always had that huge smile on his face no matter the pain he was in. We were lucky to be family and see him through some of his milestones. He was a stinker as a little boy always testing the boundaries lol…but grew up into such a good human being. Our last encounter was in Ca. visiting and just eating, drinking and telling stories. We were planning a trip back this year to see him.
The day he passed was my birthday BUT on that day I also received a hand written thank you note in the mail from Kris for a holiday gift his cousin Sandi and I had sent to him. He wanted to tell us how he enjoyed the steaks and thought of us as he cooked them in his awesome smoker.
May you be at peace, reunited with your Mom and the other family members we have seen pass on. Till we meet again Moose, we love you and will miss you and we are GRATEFUL you fought so hard to stay with us for so long. XO Your cousin, Linda

  2. Kris and I only were close for a couple of years but as all of you talked about, he left an impression on you. It was wonderful to hear stories about his childhood and how so many others were inspired by him, by the way he lived, as I was. As you mentioned in the service, the Pioneer Press doesn’t win a Pulitzer Prize in 2000 without him and his contributions. – George
