Kenneth Lee Estabrook died on June, 11, 2014 in Manhattan Beach, California. Ken was born Nov. 3, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He grew up in Great Falls, Montana where he learned to ski. When he was 16, he soloed in an airplane. As a teenager, he lived with his parents in Tehran, Iran and Muscat, Oman. He graduated from high school at the American School in Athens, Greece and from the University of Massachusetts in 1982 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Ken worked for the Hughs Aircraft Corp. which later became part of the Raytheon Corp. He learned to SCUBA dive and enjoyed camping, fishing and especially enjoyed hiking. He loved reading and was especially fond of science fiction. He had no children. Ken lived in Manhattan Beach, California. He is survived by his parents Bion R. Estabrook and Beatrice Minnie (Scott) Estabrook, and sister Barbara Ann Estabrook, all of Derry, New Hampshire, as well as brother Edward Estabrook and nephew Brien Estabrook-Gray of Pine, Colorado, and brother Boyd Estabrook and his wife Karen of East Hampstead, New Hampshire, and nieces Katherine Estabrook Scott and Lauren Estabrook, and Ken's aunt and uncle Edward and Gladys Brennan of Saucier, Mississippi, as well as many cousins. He will be buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry, New Hampshire. Donations in his memory can be made to the SPCA or to a local animal shelter.
