Keith
Keith Anthony Sampson a 45 year resident of Los Angeles, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in Los Angeles. Keith was 45 years old when he died. Keith graduated from George Washington High School in 1982. He continued his education at California State University, Northridge. Keith later enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for four years working in the fire service. He received an honorable discharge in 1987 and returned home. Keith began working for UPS as a seasonal Christmas worker, but due to his efficiency and work ethic he was hired as a permanent employee. Later, Keith was promoted to a supervisor and held a supervisory position until his death. Keith was united in holy matrimony to Patrice Gilmore on March 10, 1990 and to this union two children were born, Aaron Joshua and Tayler Simone. Keith pastimes were cooking jambalaya and chicken noodle casserole. Keith was a great athlete; he bowled, played baseball, basketball, and golf. During his young adulthood, Keith enjoyed the excitement of bowling and won several bowling tournaments. Later, Keith grew to love golf. He was an avid golfer and spent numerous hours on the golf course. Keith loved telling stories about his golf adventures. Keith also won several trophies and awards playing golf. Keith was greatly loved by his family and friends and he enjoyed life to the fullest. He was affectionally known as "World" when he played basketball at Washington High School. Keith was charismatic, very outgoing, and full of humor and charm. Keith was the life of the party. He was known for his spontaneous nature and expected everyone to immediately share his excitement. Keith's big "Chesser Cat" grin was the first thing you noticed about him. He had the "Gift of Gab" and enjoyed just hanging out with the boys, playing dominos and talking plenty of smack. Keith had a great sense of style and swagger. He was always well dressed and would light up a room with his cologne; basically you could smell him coming. Keith was a hard worker and his ultimate goal as a father was to give his children the very best that life had to offer. 38. To Patrice, Aaron and Tayler, May God’s Loving-Kindness and Tender Mercy Be A Stronghold At This Time of Sorrow and Always — “…the pain never truly goes away, it just gets smaller and condensed, tucked away in a corner somewhere in the deep recesses of the heart. There it remains at a constant low level ache, which with time may be overridden. There may be times when a site, a smell, a place, a song, an anniversary or birthday will trigger the old memories and the intensity of the grief and loss will return again. These feelings often arrive without warning and can be just as painful making one feel as though he/she was experiencing the loss anew.” RIP Keith! Wilfred & Pearlie Aubert
