Kathleen (Kathy) Brown, SFO Kathleen was born in San Francisco, CA on May 7, 1932 and died in Torrance, CA on December 23, 2009. She is reunited with her parents, Harry and Nellie Kranzke, her sisters Sr. Sheila Marie, CSJ and Bernadette Wells, infant sons Tommy and Harry and grandchildren Joshua and Caleb. Kathleen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her adoring husband Lloyd Sr., and her children Lloyd Jr., Patrick (Susan), Michael (Lorita), Gerald, Stephen (Suni), Ruth Sanborn (Jim), Joseph (Jennifer), Margaret Hills, Kathleen Fellows (Matthew) and Karen. Her extended family includes grandchildren Jeremiah Brown, Jessica Martinez (Marvin), Stephanie Brown, Daniel Brown (Natalie), Laura Jabin (Dustin), Kristina Peterson, Matthew Brown, Chris Henry, John Hills, Michaela Brown, and the Fellows children, Nathan, Megan, Ian, Noah, David and Mary; and great-grandson Tyler Martinez. Her surviving siblings are Dorothy Brown (Darrell), Michael Kranzke (Sue), Maureen O'Callaghan and Robert Kranzke (Linda). Kathleen's first priority was her family but she still found time for additional activities with her church, St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in Redondo Beach and her community. These activities included Eucharistic Ministry, Lector, Bereavement Ministry, Casa Juan Diego, Small Group Leader, RCIA sponsor, and Centering Prayer. Her civic contributions included assisting as a Registrar of Voters and Election Poll Worker. A prayer vigil and funeral Mass for Kathleen were celebrated on Sunday, December 27 and Monday, December 28 at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church. Private internment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Life Charities, 416 Avenue E, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 and Star Inc., P.O. Box 1075, Torrance, CA 90505.

  2. I have known Kathy for many years. We met at the Secular order of St. Francis in Hermosa Beach. Kathy was a very thoughtful , generous, kind person. Always doing and giving to others. She lived the 8 Beatitudes. God and Family always came 1st! With heartfelt Sympathy, Mary Ann Reis
