Sumen, Karl a 46 year resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Torrance. Born in Mala Nedelja, Slovenia, Karl was 71 when he died. Karl was a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church and he is survived by Wife, Ida Sumen of Manhattan Beach, CA, Son, Erik Sumen, Son, Ernie Sumen, 1 Brother and 7 Sisters. Preceded in death by: Mother, Ana Sumen, Father, Josef Sumen. His greatest joy in life was making people happy by playing his accordion. The Vigil will be Thursday, August 25, 2005, 7:30 P.M. and the Funeral Mass Friday, August 26, 2005, 10:30 A.M. both at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lupus Society, 17985 Sky Park Circle Suite J, Irvine, CA 92714.
