Karen Anne Cermak (Kolb) was a loving, happy, beautiful, and strong young woman who lost her battle with cancer on Friday, July 17, 2020. She fought a courageous fight, was surrounded with love and support, though it was a battle that she wanted to confront privately.
Born in Fontana, California, she was a graduate of Sacred Heart and Bishop Amat in Covina, California. She moved to Los Angeles and graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2006 where she was also a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She was a long time employee of Speedo USA while living in the South Bay of Los Angeles County.
While far too short, she lived a life packed with adventure. She lived every moment to the fullest, with joy, excitement, positivity and love beyond all. Her family and friends cannot begin to imagine a day without her glow and smile, but take solace in knowing that she is now smiling down on all of us from above, holding hands with her father, Michael Kolb.
Karen is survived by her husband Curtis Cermak, mother Renie Kolb, brothers Michael, Jeff and David Kolb, nephews Gunner, Landon and Michael Kolb as well as many loving friends and extended family members.
The service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to https://www.gofundme.com/f/karen-kolb-cermak-memorial-fund
