Garcia, Juan a 32 year resident of Hawthorne passed away on Monday, October 18, 2004 in Hawthorne. Born in Margaritas, Jalisco, Mexico, August 8, 1951, Juan was 53. Juan owned and operated J&A Automatic Machine Shop in Hawthorne since 1994. Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife Ana and his son Juan Jr., both of Hawthorne; along with four brothers and five sisters. Visitation with Reception will be held tonight, Friday, October 22, from 4:00 P.M. to Midnight at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. in Torrance with Evening Services beginning at 8:00 PM in the Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 23, at 10:00 AM in the Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow with procession to Inglewood Park Cemetery with a horse drawn hearse procession to the grave.

Mi tio Juan siempre fue una persona muy humilde. Le gustaba ayudar a quien lo necesitaba. Lo voy a extranar mucho pero se que esta en un lugar mejor que en el que estamos nosotros. Nunca me voy a olvidar de estas palabras que el me decia, “Mija, ya sabes que cuando tengo con gusto te ayudo.” Tambien no se me va olvidar cuando le decia a mi tia Anita, “Amarrate Ana.” Creo que todos los que conocieron a mi tio se llevan algo de el en sus corazones.
