Joseph Guido Vittori

Joseph Guido Vittori (Joe) was born January 2, 1929 in Chicago Heights, IL to Maria Palanca and Dominic Vittori. He died on July 1, 2013 at Somerford Place, Encinitas, Calif. He is survived by his sister Margaret Voytina from Chicago Heights, IL as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joe served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict before entering the teaching profession. His entire career was spent with the Los Angeles Unified School District. His passion centered on the Chicago Cubs, the beach and debating politics. There will be a Mass in his remembrance at All Hallows Catholic Church in La Jolla, CA on Thursday July 4, 2013 at 7 AM. A memorial gathering is scheduled from 1 to 3 PM on Friday, July 5 at the White & Day Mortuary, 3215 Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Internment is planned for Chicago Heights at a later date.
