Irizarry, Josie a 50 year resident of Redondo Beach passed away on Monday, May 24, 2004 in Torrance. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, July 28, 1924, Josie was 79. She worked at Washington School as a noon aide and a teacher's aide until she retired in 1987. She is survived by her daughter Malvina Wolfe and her husband Don of Vallejo, CA; son Ed Irizarry and his wife Debbie of Redondo Beach, CA; her sister Gloria Gonzalez and her husband Hector of Ponce, Puerto Rico; along with grandchildren Angela and Aaron Irizarry of San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 6, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M at White and Day's Colonial Chapel, 901 Torrance Blvd. in Redondo Beach. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Torrance First United Methodist Church, 1551 El Prado Avenue in Torrance. Burial will follow with procession to Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.

I remember so fondly the love Rudy and Josie shared. When they would tell of their meeting and young love romance, their eyes would glisten and they would look at each other with such tenderness and understanding. I remember when they renewed their wedding vows, and Josie looked like a little girl, a young blushing bride of a little girl. That was great day. Josie has created many memories for us.
She was not only my Mom, she was my best friend. I am proud to have had her for a Mother. She is with Dad and that\’s where she\’s supposed to be. Forever will I look for rainbows!
