John P. Freeman

FREEMAN, JOHN P. On Tuesday, December 3, John P. Freeman passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Devoted husband of the late Mabel Freeman, he is survived by their five children, as well as loving daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, and twelve grandchildren and their spouses and 15 Great-grandchildren. Besides his insurance business, John was a very active member of the community and the Catholic Church. He served the Wilshire Exchange Club, the Serra Club, the Knights of Columbus, St. John of God Hospital, Loyola High School, Loyola-Marymount and many others. His reputation for volunteering, organizing, and cooking at fund-raising and Church functions is legend. He will be missed. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 7. 2002 at 2:00 PM at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 1900 Prospect Avenue, Redondo Beach. Burial will be private.
